The Defiance Company LLC is the import
and sales company for direct import Smart™ cars. The Smart™ cars are
imported and modified by Registered Importer, G & K Automotive
Conversion, Inc.
G & K Conversion Facility
G & K Automotive Conversion Inc. (http://gnkauto.com) has been in business since 1979. We
are the largest and the oldest established conversion company in the
United States. We have modified in excess of 8,000 vehicles.

& K is an Independent Commercial Importer (ICI) for the
Environmental Protection Agency (EPA -- http://epa.gov) and a Registered Importer (RI)
for the Department of Transportation (http://www.dot.gov).
G & K also has an in-house
testing laboratory, which is recognized by EPA and is licensed by
the California Air Resources Board (http://www.arb.ca.gov). G & K has a 90,000 square foot
state-of-the-art conversion facility, and indoor storage. G & K is
the only entity that was able to get Federal DOT and EPA approvals
for the Smart™ car manufactured by Daimler Chrysler. |
